- US real estate investment trust Sun Communities has agreed to sell Park Holidays, one of the UK’s largest operators with over 50 sites, to Aermont Capital in a £768 million all-cash deal to refocus on its core North American business.
- Devon's Clawford Lakes Resort and Spa - famed for its Maldives-style floating bungalows moored on a quiet lake has been named the UK's best holiday park for 2026 after winning gold at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
- Following its closure due to financial difficulties in 2019, the historic Redhill and Reigate Golf Club - one of Surrey's oldest courses, dating back to 1887 will be demolished to make way for housing, despite initial council intentions to keep the site for golfing.
- The Belfry’s Derby golf course has completed an extensive redesign that transforms it into a striking heathland layout, elevating the former quieter counterpart into a premium, standalone destination alongside the iconic Brabazon and PGA National courses.
- IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the Garner Southend - a 137-room property which is a conversion of the former Palace Hotel in Southend. Located in a prominent seafront location, the renovated hotel will feature a restaurant, bar and fitness centre which is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2026.
- Luxury Yorkshire hotel Grantley Hall has acquired a neighbouring 44-acre mixed-use estate to fuel its next phase of growth, with specific expansion plans for bedrooms, spa, or wellness facilities currently under consideration.
- Five Somerset leisure facilities including Frome Leisure Centre have been saved from permanent closure after Somerset Council agreed to a £215,000 rescue deal, appointing Freedom Leisure on an interim two-year contract from July following the previous operator's collapse.
- Hurst Pool in Molesey, Surrey, will now remain open over the summer after its planned refurbishment was delayed due to "contractor issues", with Elmbridge Borough Council now expecting work to begin this autumn.
